A TRIPTYCH INSPIRED BY BARNETT NEWMAN'S FAMOUS PAINTING. THESE ARE COLLAGES BASED ON VINTAGE PORN PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE 70'S AND ADDRESS THEMES SUCH AS THE FEMALE BODY, GENDER AND SEXUALITY.

RANSOM LOVE NOTES, 2025
MAYBE ONE OF THE MOST PRIMITIVE FORMS OF COLLAGING, THE RANSOM NOTE. MAKING CLEAR DEMANDS, STATING A POSITION, PROCLAMATING A POINT OF VIEW. IN THE CONTEXT OF LOVE AND RELATIONSHIPS THIS BECOMES A SYMBOL OF FEELING TRAPPED, WANTING TO BE HEARD.

SECOND SERIES OF 'CONTENT AWARE LIFE' IMAGES BASED ON NUDE PHOTOS FROM THE 1960s AND 70s. PURE AND NATURAL BODIES, YET DEFORMED SOMETIMES BEYOND RECOGNITION. ADDRESSING ISSUES OF BODY DISMORPHIA, GENDER (POLITICS) AND ALIENATION.

IN THIS FIRST SERIES OF 'CONTENT AWARE LIFE' WE SEE A GREAT VARIETY OF PEOPLE IN SNAPSHOTS OF DAILY LIFE BUT FRAGMENTED, SOMETIMES BEYOND RECOGNITION.
THESE COLLAGES ARE MADE OF STOCK PHOTOS FOUND ON THE WEB AND ARE THEN MADE INTO CALEIDOSCOPIC IMAGES THROUGH DIGITAL MANIPULATION AND AUTOMATED CONTENT FILL FUNCTIONALITIES.

IDENTITY, 2024
IN THESE MORE TRADITIONAL, PHYSICAL COLLAGES FEMALE AND MALE PRESENTING IMAGES ARE COMBINED TO CREATE A NEW FORM, A NEW IDENTITY. AN IDENTITY THAT IS BEYOND THE BINARY AND IS DEFINED BY THE FRAGMENTS OF SELF.
POEMS ARE HAND-WRITTEN ON THESE COLLAGES, REFLECTING THE STRUGGLES THEY FACE IN THEIR OWN DAILY LIFE, AS A GENDER NON-CONFORMING PERSON.

NUN, 2024
A SERIES OF SCREENSHOTS FROM THE 1984 FILM 'NUN IN ROPE HELL' BY DIRECTOR KATSUHIKO FUJII. THESE SCREENSHOTS ARE OF A SCENE IN WHICH A MAN HAS SUBMISSIVE AND FORCEFUL SEX WITH A WOMAN, AND ARE DIGITALLY MANIPULATED TO CREATE A GLITCH EFFECT, DISTORTING AND EVEN EMPHASIZING THE HARSH REALITY OF THE SCENE.
THE TITLE 'NUN' IS A PALINDROME AND A CONSCIOUS CHOICE TO PUT FORWARD THE IDEA OF LOOKING AT SOMETHING IN MORE THAN JUST ONE WAY.
